I am so excited about the opportunity to meet people in new bands and share everything I have learnt in my years in a successful band. I think I can give younger bands some extremely valuable advice and share all the things I wish I knew when I was starting out.

Workshop description:

Building a Break-Out Band

This class is for anyone trying to get their band to the next level by gaining insight into the behind the scenes running of a successful band. We will discuss tried and tested routes for getting your band from the garage to the main stage. I will also focus on crucial do’s & don'ts for your band to stand out from the crowd and be noticed by the right people.

I have been working in touring bands as a playing member since a very young age. I had many failed attempts before reaching the place I am now with my band Neck Deep and everything I have learnt along the way is what I’m focusing on in this class. As well as being a physical member of the band I also have a large invested responsibility in my band's business and behind the scenes maintenance as well as managing other current bands.

I'm teaching this class to give younger bands an opportunity I never had -- a chance to talk from real experience about what it takes, what to do, what not to do and how getting a band off the ground really works.
