Throughout my career as a drummer in The Summer Set, I’ve been approached by many of our fans who have felt comfortable opening up to me, and looking to me for advice. I’m not saying I have all the answers by any means, but I am ready to open up and share my stories and experiences with people so they can hopefully relate and find comfort in knowing that I, too, have felt lost and confused at times. We don’t always have to have it “all figured out.

Jess Bowen, drummer for pop-rock band The Summer Set, has established herself as a rising musician and one of the top role models for female drummers. She started drumming at the age of 12, influenced by her father and older brother who were both drummers.

Since the start of The Summer Set in 2007, she has embarked on sold out world tours from South America to Asia, and their music has been featured on TV shows from the likes of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars to Good Morning America. The world has taken notice of Jess and the band since they performed their hit single ‘Lightning In A Bottle” at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival alongside Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry.

Jess is endorsed by Vater Percussion, Sabian Cymbals and SJC Custom Drums.
